How does disability studies matter in our everyday lives? Where and how do we learn about ability and dis/ability-- and what can that teach us? How do we enact coalition building across educational and community spaces?
This event considers the emergence of critical disability studies at Rutgers-Newark and will feature current RU-N students who have devised opportunities for resistance and empowerment.
Session will be led by Dr. Lauren Shallish (Associate Professor of Critical Disability Studies in Education) and Dr. Jack Tchen (Director, Clement Price Institute; Professor of History).
